Head Coach | Jake Fredricksen

Jake Fredricksen Head CoachFredricksen joined the coaching staff in 2018 and was named associate head coach in 2022. He took over as interim head coach of the Little Giants program in August 2023 and was named head coach in October 2023. His 2023-24 Wabash squad sent six wrestlers to the NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament, with 125-pounder James Day placing third to capture All-America honors. The Little Giants won the Manchester Spartan Met Classic title and were runner-ups at the Adrian College Invitational before capturing second place at the NCAA DIII Central Region Tournament. Wabash also earned Scholar All-America honors from the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) with five individuals receiving Scholar All-America recognition. Fredricksen was named the NWCA DIII Rookie Rookie Coach of the Year for his efforts during his innaugural season at the helm. 

During his tenure as an assistant, he coached 14 All-Americans and two national champions, while helping guide the 2022 Little Giants to second place at the NCAAs behind five All-American performances.

Prior to arriving at Wabash, Fredricksen was an assistant at the University of Indianapolis, where he worked with four Division II national qualifiers and an All-American. He previously served as an assistant at North Central College from 2014-2017. He earned his bachelor's degree from Wisconsin-Whitewater, where he was a three-time team captain, three-time national qualifier, and team MVP. He earned his master's degree from North Central.
